OP here, I do believe you're correct. Or it's one of the other models they make that look almost just like it.

Anyone know of any companies that make similar wheels that don't cost either an arm and a leg or your 1st born child?

OEM BMW wheels, can be found on craigslist dirt cheap. Remove the center caps if you want. I'm pretty sure they are actual BBS brand wheels, too.

those are actual BBS wheels, however those are NOT what OP posted. i had a BMW with those and they look very different from OP's pic. heres the only picture i have with no center caps

The info's appreciated guys. I'm mainly interested in either the all white ones or the gold ones. I like the wheels that the PO put on my bug, but empi 8-spokes are pretty much played out at this point, and I'm not really a fan of the fuch's style wheels.

So, how 'bout we turn this into a suggestions for wheels that aren't usually thrown on a bug, yeah?

Shaved hood
empi 8-spokes raw with chrome lip
60's style lights and signals
2 1/2" drop spindles with disk brakes up front
dropped about an inch in the rear
Still primer grey, but no rust.
Factory sunroof and factory pop-out rear windows.

No power-steering, no power-brakes, no hydraulic clutch, no power windows, drives like a fuckin go-kart.

double confirmed, op wheel pic are replica BBS lm's.

The emp eight spokes look great though. its a beetle man, don't try too hard.

OP here;
Won't argue that the wheels don't look damn good on the car, especially with the lower stance and the back tires tucked under the fender a bit, I'm just trying to get ideas for future changes. I only bought the car like a month ago and everything that's been done on it was either done or paid for by the previous owner, so I'm just trying to figure out where to pick up where he left off.

Just googled the mahle's, and they are pretty fuckin dope. I'm definatly gonna be keeping them in mind when I can actually afford to get new wheels, or maybe see if anyone wants to lose like $3-400 on a trade for some empi's, haha.

Might be able to in the back if they had some serious offset and were cambered, but I don't think I could fit 9" wheels up front and still be able to turn. The empi's on there now are only I think 4.5-5" wide, and thus understeer like it's going out of style.

While they do have some wheels I really like, I'm not trying to spend as much on wheels as I paid for the car. Just to be clear, I am 100% ok with replica or knock-off wheels, I'm more concerned with how the car actually drives/looks than the brand name on the reciept.
