I am new here so sorry if this is a question you get a lot here.
I was thinking of getting into black and white photography and was wondering what's the best way to do it. I want to do black and white because I am slightly colour blind, and I have always loved the look of black and white prints.
Anyways, when I took photography in high school the course was done with b&w film. The teacher said this was because film is a lot better to learn on, but also because digital could not produce the rich blacks that film could. This was back in 2006. I was wondering if film is still the best way to go, or if I could get a similar look from digital today with the new technology.
TL;DR is film still the best option for black and white photography?
