The closest you'll ever come to seeing a good tablet outside of a Wacom branded tablet is if they're commissioned to make the active digitizer of a screen (as was the case with Lenovo and IBM's Thinkpad tablets).
Other companies certainly make tablets, but absolutely no other companies produce even intermediate-quality tablets for any sort of work.
If you're proud of your niche knowledge of some competitor tablet company, then feel free to shine a spotlight on it. It doesn't even need to have marketshare. As long as it uses a technology that's at least on the same general level of quality as Wacom's tech and patents, that'd be fine by me.
