I'm looking to buy a film camera, I know how to use a DSLR and have used one on multiple occasions, but I really like the look of film. I'm not really sure which I should get of these 3 on craigslist, but I'm leaning towards the ELAN. Here's what I've got to choose from.

Option 1: $75 (pictured)
Canon EOS Elan 35mm camera, 28-80mm lens, strap, manuals, battery...great condition $ 75.00 obo

Option 2: $150
Pentax K1000 35mm Camera with 50mm Lens. Everything is in good condition.
VIVITAR: 80-200mm Lens
TAKUMAR-A: 28-80mm Lens
DEJUR: 2X Teleconverter
VIVITAR: Auto 2600 Flash
2 Lens Filters
Camera Bag
Also includes a Pentax EZY-R IQZoom point and shoot 35mm camera with 38mm-70mm lens

yep, just went today. Picked up a nice saitek x52 joystick for 8 bucks, and a ti-82+ for 3 dollars. Unfortunately, no cameras today. A friend showed me shopgoodwill.com but I'm wary since I can't know if it works and I have to pay shipping.

Also, with the minolta I don't seem to see anything for short range. I thought i did with the sakar, but that looks to be a macro lens.

shopgoodwill has lots of cool stuff, but they rape you with shipping rates. I only bid on local stuff, but even for local pick-up they charge you $4 for handling.

I have the elan2 aka 50E. It's a good cam, everything seems to work, metering is ok but the AF is just horrible, with only 3 af points and no cross types it's slow as fuck.

The lens is a wide to portrait. A bit too dark for me, some vinigheting and distortions at the wide end. It's quite sharp for a kitlens and the autofocus is silent (because it's slow).

Also I'd advise you to look into the eos 3 or eos 5. The good thing about those canons is they have the standart EF lens mount, meaning you can mount modern full frame lenses on that thing. Also if you ever decide to change into digital full frame you'll be able to keep all of your lenses.
