Greetings /p/

Im a new guy in photography and Im thinking of getting an external flash. I own a Canon T2i 550D, and there are some guys selling a 430EX speedlite and a 550EX one online. Which one should I get? Care to explain the diffrence? Thank you!

And now, although I know the answer to your question - because you are a lazy fuck - I'll write a fairly lengthy and completely unhelpful post about how the buttons on the 550EX feel.
The buttons are soft rubber, not all too grippy, and unfortunately in a slight detent - not raised. If you have large sausage, meat fingers like I do, it's a pain in the balls to press them. You've got to jam the finger in and hope you get it. You can never tell if you actually completed a button press either. There's no tactile feedback at all, nor a click or sound. It's always just a guess or having to stare at the LCD screen to see if you accomplished what you wanted to.
They are terrible buttons.

The basic difference is that the 550 puts out one more stop of light, and has the ability to be hooked up to an external battery pack. Also, the 550 can be master in a multi-speedlite setup and 430 cannot.

In real world shooting, you will find that the 550 takes about half as long to recycle for the same amount of light output. If you hook up an external battery pack, it takes a quarter as long to recycle for the same amount of light output as the 430. Which, for most people means that they miss less shots because the flash is coming back up quicker.

If I was choosing between the two, I would get the 550.
