There is so much wrong with your photo I don't even...
I won't start on that but I use cropping to fix my composition and straighten a picture all the time. I am trying to get to the point where I stop having to do that.

hurr. that was the idea
re crop: try using manual focus lenses; unless you have a split hemisphere focusing screen they get you out of the habit of central-focusing and then reframing for composition.. manual lenses you are framing composition right from the start.

ill stop being lazy and hit the manual switch next time i shoot, but its kinda hard to do when shooting street photography.

There's nothing wrong with cropping, pretty much everyone does it except some elitist hobbyist that think that shooting full manual and not cropping and no processing makes their photographs better regardless of subject and composition.

Not having a 100% viewfinder -> crop every second shot.

The only thing I personally hate are non-standard-crops, like 43:17. Please keep it at 2:3, 1:1, 4:5, 6:7, 16:9, 16:10. If you insist, 4:3.

sometimes the only way to fix what you thought was okay through the viewfinder at the time to what you later on realized you could have done without

Have to be pretty anal and kinda sadomasochist to limit yourself to absolutely no reworking including something nondestructive/manipulative as cropping

Its almost akin to being an artist and refusing to paint over an area you made a small error on. Cropping isn't a manipulation as so much its just a removal of an area of the photo to emphasize your attention elsewhere

IMHO at least =/

This. I hate looking through someone's flickr and seeing that every photo is a different aspect ratio. What's even worse is when I've walked into photo exhibitions and seen people print them like that. Also, I seriously saw someone print a 5x50" panorama on canvas. Shit was so terrible, you can't have a composition when the print is 10 times longer than it is tall.

No problem provided crops are standard ratios. As you get better you'll crop less and less unless you're constrained by your focal length for a photo.
