I'm trying to use an old A530 in macro but everytime I take a picture its either really blurry or only a small portion of the photo is in focus. Anyone know how to fix this?

Get more light on your subject. Also, find you what the macro focusing distance is and DO NOT get closer than that distance, use a ruler if you have to.

Also, every time I try to get more light, it'll appear like the first photo. If I use the flash its waaay to bright (other than the second pic, for some reason it'll randomly show great photos) unless the room is really really dark.

digifag? keke. if you reduce shutter speed and decrease diafragm to 22. now if you wonder "decrease" to 22 the dont worry. 22 is the smallest opening. 1,8 or whatsoever is the biggest. with 22 you (should) have the max field of depth. so. because digi you can increase iso to 400 or 800.
