>>299199Initially I see a normal office setting. Boring, yes. But when I took the time to see it I came up with some thoughts. We are viewing a moment in time, a glimpse or tiny piece of a greater whole. The woman in the picture is dressed in full business attire as you would expect, yet she’s sitting up on the desk in the cubicle cross legged. Her body language communicates a lot. The way she’s pulling the chair towards her made me think she’s going to put her legs up. The man’s blazer is draped over the back of his chair. These elements suggest to me that the two pictured here have been at work for a good long while. There’s a casual air to them that offsets the cold feel or idea of an office job. There’s a discarded bag from an anonymous fast food restaurant underneath the desk that tells me the sanctuary of lunch break is long since past. It's not something you can wrap up in a neat little package and say he was going for this or it's symbolic of that. I believe he's just pointing our attention towards a situation that's illustrating the contrast between the stereotype of an office job and the reality of the inner workings of these environments. It's supposed to seem boring, Sorry if you don't like my interpretation.
here's another of his pieces for you to tear apart.
