If you bought it, return it and buy it from best buy. Get the BTP (black tie protection) and you can break the camera for 4 years and they'll either fix it or replace it.

Haven't had any problems with it, but i've only shot 3 8gig cards (so like 5000 pics)

I have shot with Canon cameras my whole life. I started on a Canon AE-1 and now I shoot with the new 5D and for back up I have a 40D and a 20D.

I have never had a problems with any camera have owned. If you read the manual, understand camera basics and protect it from the elements, you should have no problems. But do keep in mind, shutters do wear out in time just like everything. The 20D ( I have had since the day they were released) still works great, I have taken over six hundred thousand pictures and haven't had a single shutter problem.
