Hey /p/

My aperture coupling ring (I think that's what its called) on my nikon fm sticks. What I mean is, I end up metering incorrectly because the coupling ring doesn't follow the aperature ring on the lens and it causes me to overexpose my shots. It moves freely, but it looks like friction is causing it to stop about half way. Can I just take any old lube and just put it in between there?

I'll try to draw a picture to explain better.
