/p/hotographers!
so today i was at work and looking at the variety of lens's that we carry and noticed that we have an employee purchase program with tamron lenses. well i will be getting a 40D in a couple weeks (have had an XT for a couple years) and want to get a good walk around/ portrait lens that would work with all three of my cameras (xt, 40D, elan ii3 {film}) it's not mandatory for me to use it on my film guy but it would be nice. anyway getting to the point my purchase program goes as such
17-50 f/2.8 XR Di-II $259
18-200 f/3.6-6.3 XR DI-II $256
18-250 f/3.5-6.3 XR DI-II [IF] macro $311
now the macro on the 18-250 sounds the best but idk if i would use the macro feature as much as i think. The wide angle of the 17 @f/2.8 is also tempting but i can't decide. being that these are at such a good price i would love to get one of these (but never owning a tamron idk if it's worth it). So what seems to be /p opinion or experience's with these big boys?
