http://guru2.karakasa.com/gear_sphere/gear_sphere_e.htmlGear Sphere replica version! An Untested prototype copy of the one KAMIKARA made. I don't have a clue if it works correctly.
"The gear of the same kind is omitted with the developed view.
Five "10 T_A gears" are located in a line with the top side of core regular dodecahedron.
Three "10 T_B gears" and two "15 T_A gear" are located in a line with the lower side as directions of a texture.
The crevice between a core and 10T gear is 17mm.
The crevice between a core and 15T gear is 7mm. "
is what is says on the site. You are going to have to solve a few problems tho.
The rods that connect the gears to the core are not specified, so you have to figure out how you are going to put them on.
You are also going to need a rod that leads out to some kind of lever to get the thing turning.
The top and bottom gear spin at the same rate and direction, so the two should be connected to the main center rod leading out of the sphere.
You also need a mechanism that will allow you to spin the top and bottom gears without affecting the movement of the core. The core must be kept still somehow.
Who's up for the challenge?
