Finding the term or phrase

No.8339032 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
I think there is a term/word or shorter phrase that neatly labels what it is called when you claim something that someone else debunks on the spot and what you do then is to add more additional arguments to the first claim to make it correct just because you didnt get it right the first time, and this particular behaviour can be repeated through the conversation. This behavious is quite common among those who have difficulties admitting they are wrong.
Please anon, is there a word or phrase for this that I'm looking for?
