The apocalypse has happened, most of humanity is wiped out with zombies, mutants and bandits roaming former city scapes. I've barely managed to rescue all of you robots and we've commandeered a small flotila of ships to safety. We've made landfall and decide to build a settlement here called Robo Town. We have a year's worth of food, lots of seeds, lots of nails and screws, lots of bottled water and purification tablets (although the river is fresh), buckets, pots, knives, axes, picks, shovels, hammers, hovels, and all the most basic of human tools. We've also brought along a ton of book for both recreational and society building. We have enough gas to send a few of the smaller boats back to the city in case we need to scavenge for supplies. It's time for you robots to put your life skills and knowledge into good use! I didnt save you all for nothing. I've decided to dismantle our largest boat (a ferry) into the local town centre/store house/sleeping area until we can get some log cabins going. I'll send a few /k/ommandoes and /tr/avellers to scout out the local area for anything of interest. We might be able to use some of the boats we commandeered as fishing vessels to get some fresh food going. Everyone else is either building our town centre or chopping trees. So, robots what is our next plan for survival?

Wood has been gathered and a simple barricade formed. The former robo town has been renamed port mootykins and contains what remains of our fleet of ships (some worthless without paddles). A few knowledgable anons are using the sailboats to catch a few fish. Not enough to sustain the population, but hey we're making progress! Also west of us, as the water is being tested for cleanliness and hunters scour the forests for game a bunch of our more nature oriented people have formed a small camp they can use to explore the land further. Some of the boats were brought up so they can travel upstream.

Their numbers are unknown but estimated to be 200-400. /k/ommandoes have been training the /fit/izens and the /sp/artans but we'll need EVERYONE if we hope to survive the onslaught. We have a couple dozen of hand guns and revolvers, several rifles and several shotguns with enough ammo to last the upcoming battle but we should take care not to use it ALL! So arm chair strategists... what is the move of our new utopia?

It's been a week since we were last in contact with the /k/ommandos at New Sparta. I've trekked upriver from Robo Town to check on their little outpost. Waved, and a pair of sniper teams waved back. Then a few men camouflaged in some of the bushes across river I hadn't even friggin' seen stepped out of their hideyholes and waved too. I wandered a little further eastward along the river in the direction of New Sparta, and started hearing the distant snaps on gunfire on the horizon. Some maniacal laughter too. Then I heard someone yell something about a guy named Chicago Ted, and what sounded like a heavy machine gun opened up for the next ten minutes. That's about when I started turning back.

We've managed to build spears and wooden shields for around 200 legionaries, but only enough obsidian spear tips for half of them. We've got about 20 atalatals to supplement our troops on the flanks so hopefully that'll help some. Our laborers are building the ditches as fast as they can, but this is as far as they've gotten. Battle of Port Mootykins We had no idea just how many of the foul zombies would attack our battle lines, although the stench would have been somewhat a good indicator... We battled for hours as wave after wave of zombies threw themselves mindlessly after our battle lines. Despite their loathsomeness we've managed to keep them at bay. The watchtower snipers picking off any that threatened our line. So far we've only gotten a few minor injuries to our men, they've been quarantined and doctors seen to their state but thus far it doesn't seem any infection. The battle has ended however with our victory, the rest of the zombie shambles have been isolated and slain and we have begun to burn the field, we must not be too careful. Unfortunately this exercise and the departure of those selfish /k/ommandos have left town development at a stand still. So ends fourth month...

A messenger from New Sparta has arrived with updated information. The /k/ommando defense party has taken to calling the sudden onslaught of zombies from an unspecified source to the north "the Siege of Thermopylae." New Sparta only minor injuries, none of which caused by the undead horde; one example being an operator's Glock exploding during use and taking a piece of shrapnel to the shoulder. A counterattack ensued once the /k/ommando's realized the intense numbers of the shambling corpses, pushing them back toward the small range of hills between them at what would seem to be the ocean and Lake Leonidas. With supply lines restored to Outpost Operator, additional crude structures have been erected, reinforcing the resident troop capacity and allowing routine border patrols, with many /k/ommando's paranoid of potential infected Robot travelers upon hearing of zombie-related injuries during the battle of Port Mootykins. The atmosphere is tense amongst the /k/ommando's as all shift into gear for a potential counterattack to what lies northward, with many hoping to be able to scavenge more munitions in the coming months. Morale stands high and hopeful along those stationed at Thermopylae, but to the /k/ommando's patrolling the riverbank, ammunition conservation deemed the highest priority by their superiors leaves many agitated.

I was not far out of New Sparta when I heard sustained gunfire coming from the north. I ran up a hill and then I heard crazy laughter, and when I reached the top of the hill, I looked down to see a man dressed in an orange windbreaker, a flannel shirt, blue jeans, black sunglasses, and a Cubs baseball cap. He firing a machine gun from the hip, cutting many zombies in two. There must have been thirty bodies piled up around him, and still 12 more zombies were closing in as his gun went dry. He looked down at his empty gun, laughed, and pulled out a machete from a holster that he was wearing around his leg. He charged the zombies, and decapitated every single one of them in about 20 seconds. He kept laughing after the whole thing until he spotted me. He then yelled up to me "Tell your friends! No zombie is safe from Chicago Ted!", and ran off into the woods. I ran after him, calling for him to stop, but he was nowhere to be found. Who is this guy? Is he a /k/ommando? Durable but soft. And pretty damn /fa/. >3) Ceremonial Scarf: This ceremonial woll scarf marks this particular legionnaire as an officer in the Hispter Brigade. While scarves are issued to all legionnaires, rank and file members only have access to the monochromatic brown variety. >4) Standard-Issue Peacoat: Durable black wool, long sleeves, and stylish buttons defend every Hipster from the menace of Zombie bite wounds. >5) Grey knit skinny tie: Another sign of rank, the knit tie signifies this particular Hipster as a veteran of the Battle of Mootkins. The Grey colour is a further honourific, showing the bearer to have participated the flanking action that routed the final group of the Enemy. >6) Tower Shield: Standard Issue for all members of the Robotown Legions, the Tower Shield protects the Legionnaire from shoulder to knee. It appears the plagued cities have not been lifeless... for our sailors have seen ships of heavily armed mutants landing on the south coast. Welded steel as armour and wielding machetes, axes and hammers we've also been reported to them bearing crossbows, fire arms and even... motorcycles? As well as that, our group has been interviewing the villagers, trying to extract what knowledge we all possess. As of now, we have a fairly accurate documentation of day-to-day information, such as agriculture and carpentry. We also have a fairly substantial medical base, with information about standard medical procedure. We have a fairly accurate record of A.D. era, but things begin to fall off before that. Thanks to a couple science and math majors, we have a decent record of the more theoretical topics. We have information on a variety of other topics not mentioned as well. Fellow survivors. Our cartographer's been busy. We've sent scouting parties in rotation eastbound after our *mutual* victory at Thermopylae. Here's what we have so far. There's a possibility of there being some sort of cave formation on the west side of what we've deemed Patton's Plateau. South of the plateau is some extremely dense woodland--nearly uncrossable on foot, that encompasses fertile grassland near the coastline. The scouting party that ventured further north and circle back to Lake Leonidas, however, reported possible silhouettes of tall structures to the far northeast, completely off our map grid. Can't confirm it, however. It was long after sunset when these were 'spotted.' Civilization? /k/ommandos over and out, for now.

Doctor here again, sorry for my previous silence. Since we appear to be here for the duration, I will start to set up my clinic. I appropriate a centrally located hut and whitewash the walls, painting a red cross on all sides in the center so that all will know where to go when they need my help. My equipment has been scant. All I have is my trusty stethoscope, an old rusty reflex hammer, my pocket medical dictionary, and an old 1960s book on plants a young boy found in the bottom of one of the boats. Sure, we have some medical kits, but the gauze, bandages, and basic medicines are running out fast. Once my very rudimentary gear is tabulated and inventoried in my clinic, I start to give physicals. I intend to get files started for every member of Robotown, giving each person their own chart so that I can assess data long term. I have to stagger their visits based on shifts, schedules, and the like, but I like it. I'm starting to get to know these people, their names, their smiles and quirks. Getting sufficient paper for records is difficult, but I read in a book once about how to create paper from wood pulp. The carpenters and lumberjacks have been working with me diligently on this, and despite our difficulties, we expect to streamline the process soon. But I look at our medicine stock and grimace. One bout of malaria, one explosion of cholera or dysentery and we could be sunk. I open the book the boy found. There are some trees that can produce some natural medicines. I look out on the distant forest in the bright morning sun and grab a machete. We'll need to organize a small search party... anyone fancy a stroll?

I appear to be too eager, there is still much to do in the village. Perhaps we shall organize a party on the morrow. With luck, we can find some things to fill my medicine stock, maybe kill a few zombies on the way, eh?

You know, with all that forest around, i don't get why you guys wouldn't build a treehouse village, you could have just laughed your asses at the zombie hordes instead.

Dear people of Robotown! What a blessing I've stumbled upon your settlement! I was part of a rag-tag group of survivors of the zombie appocolipse, but now I am the only one of my party that remains. If you could but give me some food, for I have been hungry for so long, I'm sure that I could make myself useful here... ...My dear! Is that man suffering from SCURVY! Good lord, you people are obviously suffering from vitamin deficiencies! Listen, your town needs to plant a crop of nettles (a plant found here in the forest - you should know it by now as its touch invokes a stinging rash in the area of contact). Nettles are high in vitamin C, and should help alleviate the obvious scurvy problem rampant in your town. Simply dry the leaves and make a tea with it. Also... I say! I say sir! What are you doing wasting your precious urine against the fence there! You should be peeing into a common public pit stocked with manure and straw so that the sulfer from your urine might later be collected for gun-powder (by the way, what exactly have you people been DOING for weaponry until this point? SPEARS?! How quaint!).
Nilrem
Who's in charge of resource gathering here? Yes, ok, listen. As I journeyed here from abandoned cities to the East, I noted a large cliff rich in saltpeter not a couple miles to the north-east. You need to establish a mining site there to extract the saltpeter from the cliffs. We take that saltpeter, mix it from the sulfer we extract from the urine as well as some of your towns supply of charcoal... What supply of charcoal you say? WHAT SUPPLY of...! What exactly are you using to produce your iron?! You don't even have a rudementary smelt! How have you people survived the wandering hoards of zombies!? Ok, listen: We need to start collecting wood and converting it into charcoal. From there, we can build a small smelt for basic iron needs using clay from the river - all we need to find is some deep red soil or rock indicating a high iron content. I'm sure some of your scouts can take care of this. FURTHERMORE (as I was saying before), we can take the charcoal, mix it with the sulfer and saltpeter, and we should be on the road to black-powder self sufficiency. This should be good for, at the very least, making rough grenades for detonating in hoards of large zombies. (There you go r9k - I've now taken care of basic vitamin deficiencies, some of your weapon needs (black powder should be a good start if someone gets creative), and basic iron production)

Good day, Robo Town. I am an art dealer by trade, and have made my living in the world buying and selling art. However, since the time of the zombie invasion, I can find very little towns in which to make my living. Now, I have noticed that your citizens have been unhappy due to a lack of women with which to relieve their sexual urges. I am not a woman, nor do I have any companions, but I do possess the next best thing, a sample of which I have attached with this message. I wish to be granted residency in your town, and in exchange I shall sell your citizens my wares. I am sure they will be pleased with them, and in the event they are not I will try to find or make something that will. Will you accept me in, Robo Town?

Greetings council! I have returned from my trip to the delta village. It appears that the area, known by it's residents as New Forks, is inhabited primarily with 15-19 year old women who seem to be obsessed with some book involving vampires and apples. Anyways, they seem to spend so much time discussing their books that they're resource management is even more primitive than ours. I've discussed about them joining our village which they've politely refused, but they have agreed to opening up a trade agreement of our vast resources for their *ahem* services. They're a bit annoying, but they appear suitable. I realize in this critical moment we need fighting men and women as well as weapons, but here's hoping their presence will give inspiration to our militia to continue the fight. I've brought along a few of them who wished to visit our village for themselves and uhhh....check out the pleasure center. This may prove to be a much needed morale boost.

>>3559042 ah, it appears this good man has also brought along some other sources to occupy our men. You're wares will help greatly in occupying our men in times where travel between Roboville and New Forks become difficult.
and anyways, I don't believe I've brought enough villagers with me to satisfy everyone, so your presence is definitely welcome.

are you kidding me? you'd really think a few thousand 4chan retards could work together? first, about 90% of us are male. second, about 90% of us are egocentric biggots. so while you faggots are busy discussing the philosophical direction our new society should take, me and the hundred or so other alpha types who happen to be here will probably be killing eachother over the supply of women. when we're all done sorting out the pecking order, we'll let you faggots know.
