>>4412952Actually, pronouncing at an inappropriate pitch can cause you to encounter pitch breaks and dysphonia, where your voice suddenly shifts and/or you cannot properly pronounce words.
What you define as 'deep and sexy' really is up for debate. The typical male voice is about 125 hertz (fundamental frequency, or the tone you expend the least effort in producing). For comparison, the typical female voice is about 200 hertz. Nevertheless, you could try this: try to draw out an 'ah'. Press on your Adam's apple. Notice the drop in tone. Then, remove your finger and try to resume that tone seamlessly. Repeat as needed, in gradual steps until desired tone is achieved.
If you want to alter your voice through direct intervention of the vocal cords, your best bet is to shout until you get vocal nodules, then work from there.
Just kidding, it has an equal rate of success as the other options you described.

For instance, Japanese babies at birth have no problem enunciating /r/ and /l/, but this ability disappears after 1-3 months because of the lack of differentiation between these sounds in the Japanese language.

>>4413031You probably do not move your palate and tongue properly while speaking. Try the chewing approach as descibed earlier. Try to enunciate 'ta' as rapidly as you can (as in 10 to one breath). Whisper the following sounds as well:
/k/, /g/, /t/, /d/, /s/, /z/, /w/, /wh/, /p/, /b/, /f/, /v/, /l/, the 'th' sound, /i/, /e/ and the 'ae' sound. With each iteration, slowly increase the volume, maintaining clear pronounciation. Try keeping your mouth open, while relaxing. See the tips I gave in 4412949 pertaining to breath control and pitch change.
