Well, at the time the hentai genre was quite similar to reality (casting aside fantasy/s.f. hentai), e.g. incest was done with a guilty aftertaste (!!!)

FYI They really took too much liberties with the translation. Not to the point of being a rewrite, but definitely they could have done a better job.
