I've only seen The Truman Show. I'd say it's worth watching, maybe not so much for Carrey (which goes serious at times), but rather for the interesting concept.

Personally I've felt he's gotten too much credit in the past. Especially with The Mask. For a while I was thinking he wouldn't be capable of doing anything good again. But his recent movie helped changed that.

It's all comedy. There's no romance or really much in the ways of drama. Not only that, but it actually was funny. It went a long way to help restore faith in his acting abilities for myself.

Is Bruce Almighty any good?

The Majestic was good up until the 'tiny violin' ending. Watch all but the last 15 minutes if you must, he does a great job of being a believable person, instead of Mr. "AHAHALOLWHEEELOOKATMEBEANIDIOT I AM SO FUNNY FOR ACTING DUMB 8B." The ending is painful because he gets accused of being a communist and in order to convince the House Un-American Activities Committee otherwise delivers probably the worst "I Love America" speech I've ever heard in a movie.

NO! Ace Venture (both of them) is comedy gold imo. That character really makes Carrey shine, you can see how he is enjoying the role.

I must say tho, that my liking of those movies might come from the fact that I have fat nostalgia goggles on, when I watch em.
