Should I buy these? Since the new codex is sort of in limbo, and no one can agree on when it comes out or what it has, should I just go ahead and add them to my army?

right now, this is the only army I have so far, and I don't want to start collecting another one at this moment (due to expenses and me being a poor college student). Currently the army has warriors, destroyers, and a Lord. that's about it. Been meaning to get a few of these guys and other units, but hearing about a new codex come out soon has me a little hesitant.
So what do you think?

i use the cheaper out of print raiders as immortals. no one gives a fuck.

immortals are always going to be good. i don't think they will get rid of a major backbone of the necron body so easily. unless they completely wreck it, but then i wouldn't play and thus not care.

i'm in the same boat, this is my only army. i thought about picking up a second army but i quickly abolish that as i collect more units. browsing ebay is the only way i get units so it is kinda like a treasure hunt for me.

it is still in the air as to when the codex might come out. so i don't know what you are doing but i am staying the course and picking up more and more as the date of the new codex gets closer.

yeah, immortals are good, although i had more success with a destroyer list. immortals are decent and they can pretty much fire turn 1 on the enemies with s5ap4 gauss.
and they are hell of a better option then flayed ones, for some reason flayed ones are shit no matter what i do with them.
