System's modular - the cover system can be added onto whatever's applicable, be it a sub-system for cyberpunk shootouts or one for mech warfare. Hell, you could plug it into high fantasy if you want cover-based wizard battles.

No pics, but I've been dicking around with Oyumaru and some hobby-lobby resin. Messy, but I'm meeting with some success.

I've made some very good 1Ksons helmets, so I can now make rubric termies and extra rubrics really easily. Rubric Everything!

I'm also working on duping whole models, in an effort to get into Warmachine super-cheap. So far, I'm duping a Cryx Warjack Kit bit by bit, trying to make enough bits for 3 duped warjacks. Success has been moderate so far, but the principle is sound. I'll have to see how well it works with Mechanithralls (they have spindly arms, so the resin might not flow in properly. I guess I could do them in bits, though.

What's been much more effective is scenic wreck markers. those turned out great.

I did some "Converting" (cutting the weapons off really) on some Dark Elf Corsairs into the start of a Blood Bowl team.

Not sure what to name them or what color scheme to use. Any suggestions? I'm completely open to ideas, as this is a "secondary" team that I'm making to have on hand to let people try Blood Bowl. My actual team is Orcs, which I'm also currently working on.

Cheers! The cast I got was botched, really bad quality. The face in particular. Ended up carving most of it away (including the hair. Had to repair the back of the collar because of all the braids there were). Got it for free though, so I'm not complaining.

tried to mirror the helms of the crusaders.. but I'm not much of a sculptor. Here's another angle (with the rest of the team for good measure)

Finishing up this guy.

Still new to painting, probably only my 14th figure ever. JUST started using a proper gloss finish on armor, as well as being the first figure i've ever used a wash on. Got some Golden Fluid Acrylic Extender to help extend some paints, and trying to thin as best I can. Still obviously don't have it down, but can always use feedback.

Its almost done but I want to try my hand with pastel or pigment weathering to give it a good ol' coat of mud and dust.

Also you can see one of two droppods that I do in between layers of this and that on the Land Raider. I normally work multiple things at once.

Yeah I have some very small Japanese modelling masking tape but went for the freehand. Which I should know better because I'm absolute shite as you could see from the chapter badges on my Marines. But I was content with it, twas better than some of my other works.

My current conundrum is the scheme for the Techmarine. Weather to keep full black or do the red coloring of his armor. The shoulder pads on my Marines are red anyways. I was thinking painting him Red, but my DIY Chaper is somewhat un-Codex.

The top was popped off a bit more (now glued down) and the Lascannons where quite broken, they are now mostly superglued into place. No rotating to fire anymore :(

Still missing a bunch of track pieces on the curvatures and the sights for one of the cannons. The Space Wolves and Imperial Guard did not fare so well.

Also managed to salvage a Rhino (needs tracks) and possibly two Land Speeders. And hopefully enough bits to use all the extra weapons in the Devastators boxed set. And maybe another full Tactical Squad.

Working on my elysians. Tried to magnetize the wings to no avail. Same with my vulture. Now I have to figure out how to reattach the wings to the tail booms. Also have +60 guardsman that need more than just primer. 2 months left till I deploy, wondering if I should take them to Afghanistan or pack them away again.

True, last deployment was the wild west. The only reason Im unsure is that this unit is doing nothing but training Afghan National Army and tower guard. Sounds like a sham deployment. Need to find something to do if Im not doing foot patrols everyday though.

Marinefag here. I know more than a few hobbyists that brought models with them. Stuffed lots of eggshell foam and stuff into a slightly small rubbermaid container. With another with their paint gear.

Some of my berzerkers. I decided to go with the standard red, keeping the shoulder pads bleached bone/gold trim to unify them with the rest of my army.

Also, any tips for painting up the hull of a land raider? All I have to work with is a small brush and I don't want to leave brush strokes. Do I just use boat loads of water?

I'm trying to decide WHAT THE FUCK TO DO with my Eldar. I really like the Ghosty thing I fluked with this test model, but I want TASTE THE RAINBOW. Man, Thin Your Paints.

Trust me on this: Thin the fuck outta those paints, use a palette and do a few layers. If you can, use a base colour for the yellow (like Idyanean (or whatever it is called) Yellow or Darksun Sunburst (or whatever it is called)). The foundation paint/basecoat is a paint with a lot of pigment in it, so it gives you a good start to getting that yellow (a difficult colour apparently) down.

Not sure, bro, but maybe: Use lots-o-water and keep the surface horizontally flat (like a watercolour painting) so it doesn't pool at the bottom? Keep a dozen q-tips or rags ready to stop overflow on the edges from dripping down?

Paint the harlequins like that, and pant the rest of the army colourfully

Harlequin troops should look separate from the rest of the army, as well as it being a good way of representing the "veil of tears" (or whatever it's called)

Modding or removing enough Space Wolf Wolf Guard Wolf bits to make it a passable Inquisitor with Termie Armor and Psycannon. And by Psycannon I mean Assault Cannon with Psybolt Ammo. A bit of filing and greenstuff on the canine skulls will make them look human enough, and I'll probably put some greenstuff on the tail to make it look like a daemon tail since filing that off will be a pain in the ass. Just realized thanks to this photo I missed the canine skull on the chainfist. probably greenstuff an =I= onto that one smooth pauldron.

I'd just use a GK Terminator with Psycannon if I could find a blister pack, but none of my FLGses have any and neither does Craigslist. The idea is to have a full unit of GK termies with two Psycannons split, with the Inquisitor joining the five that has two Psycannons. Then they go do some drive-bys in the Henchmen's Chimera. The Henchmen themselves, which will consist of a lot of Meltas, will be in the Land Raider since they need to get closer to be effective.

I've never played SMurfs before, though I started Daemonhunters in 2004, but at some point didn't Power Of The Machine Spirit allow Land Raiders to move directly forewards six inches even if stunned or immobilized?
