We just had a Lawful Good Half-Orc Luchador Monk (story for later) shout down and non-lethaly grapple our ChaoNeutral Bard-going-Dragon Deciple over the latter shooting a crab. Meanwhile our Rogue, the captain of our ship, threatened to shoot either of them with his gun (crossbow damage) to stop. And now the Bard is about to leave for the sake of himself rapidly become "what he does not want to become." His reason for shooting an innocent creature in front of a Lawful Good was "because I could", thereby initializing his decent into ChaoEvil.

Is this good roleplaying or terrible roleplaying?

You are lucky to have escaped an encounter with a crab unscathed. Had the bard not promptly executed it, the crab could have easily torn your entire party into thin shreds.

Vigilance and pre-emptive action are your only safeguard against the crustacean menace.

I believe we've heard from someone with a half-orc luchador monk in the past, but I'm having trouble locating the thread on easymodo. But it is possible that they have inspired others here to make luchadores.

Very well.

El Brazo de Tormenta (Arm of the Storm) is a LawGood Monk who specializes in Grappling his opponents to death. The whole premise is based around being a luchador because it's cool. He worships the God Fray Tormenta, God of Flamboyant Justice and Fists. It's all very silly and fun, which is the most essential aspect that our group focuses on.

The rest of our party is much less amazing: We have a Rogue who is essentially Han Solo crossed with Mal Reynolds from Firefly with his own relic-weapon that does crossbow damage using money as ammunition.

Our Cleric is going the way of the Necromancer eventually, which will surely cause a dissent within the party.

My character is a straight Evocation Sorceror who will be taking ranks in Force Missile Mage as soon as I hit level 6.

The Bard was replaced by a sentient, magical scarecrow that knows Vampiric Touch, Silence and other things that heavily relate to a video game character.

Blah blah, fun and games. We're all currently level 4, by the by. We're set to level soon, I should hope.

What does it take to play a Grappling monk anyway? I thought about being one (im a huge /co/mrade and a character like Bane would make me nerdgasam.)

Grapple-friendly feats, basically. Your grapple damage is technically unarmed, which you get bonuses to. You can ignore attacks of opportunity made when initiating a grapple, roll better damage, etc. Monks, however, have to be some form of either Good or Lawful, which Bane is very much neither. If you play with someone willing to fudge those rules though, yes, you can break the Elemental's spine over your knee. And laugh about it later.

Bane lives by a moral code is is very much lawful as of late. Now I just need to find a new DM and hope he isnt gay about grapples iirc some dms hate it.
