This is my interpretation of Malice:
Malice is the Lord of Terror. Not the dread of the inevitable of Nurgle, but paranoia and suspicion. He struck out against the other gods due to him thinking that they would act first. Malice's followers do not believe in friendship, only temporary alliances. If the Sons of Malice conquer the galaxy, they'd happily split into a hundred small empires, rarely making any contact with eachother. Malice represents the inherent xenophobia and strife in humanity, and gains much of his power from the squabbles of his brother gods. Malice Greater Daemons are rare because of Malice's fear of them betraying him, but Lesser Daemons are common. To become a Daemon Prince of Malice, as well as preforming a vast sacrifice you must enslave your mind to his will, making it impossible to act against him in any way. Due to the Imperium's xenophobic policies and hatred of Chaos, many Malice worshipers work with it.
