Sergals in 4e

I saw this write-up for a race a long time ago but I know Sergals have been around before.

I want to run a 4e game with Sergals as a playable race and an instigator race for the PCs to fight. The one thing I need before I do this is a full fluff page write up for this. So can /tg/ tell me what Sergals are and what I should include about them in my write up or a campaign that fights with/against them?

Trolls aside, Sergals are generally portrayed as being a very civilized and strictly controlled race. Unlike more savage beastmen like gnolls and the like who often give into their base nature, sergals take great efforts to reign in their predator's instincts.

They are proudly militaristic and carry out orders with ruthless efficiency, eviscerating their foes with brutal cunning and cunning brutality but treating their friends with honor and civility.

To give an example of how to portray the average Sergal, look no further than Ratigan from the Great Mouse Detective. They have a sense of poise, grace, and sophistication that is just barely being held in check. Portray any sergal antagonists as being very calm and collected, up until their plans have finally come crashing down around them, allowing the resulting frustration to turn them into the wild monsters that they really are.

I've never understood /tg/'s inability to look past preconceived notions. Case in point, Sergals make for an interesting and legitimate fantasy race if you ignore the artist's original fetishism, just as Jedi make for fairly awesome psionic monks outside the Star Wars universe and setting.

No, I'm going off of information from established wikis and the two sergal 4e/3.5e sheets. Contrary to what Sergalfags think, sergals don't drink tea. But they ARE a race of brutes masquerading as civilized society, albeit with a touch of Spartan warrior-culture for good measure.
