Turns out they were just waiting. She's apparently the woman behind the throne of the green Phyrexians, Turns out she was Compleated only a short time after the Mirrodin books

Also turns out Thrun The Last Troll is going to be a major player as well, as the mentor for "Melira The Fleshling", a being 100% flesh and completely immune to Phyrexian contagion.

The Brother's War and the Phyrexian Saga (pre-Mirrodin) were pretty good, I thought. I loved Yawgmoth's origin story. Crazy surgeon does things magic can't even do, gets banished, gets called back to treat plague, uses plague to take over world, flees rebellion to Phyrexia, reshapes species as he sees fit.

I bet he'd get along well with House.

As I understand it, the Emperors have a 'spell range' of 2, so it'll affect themselves, their "knights", and the enemy "knights", but not for the enemy Emperor. So, if the Emperor drops a creature, they can give -3/-3 to any creature except ones controlled by the other Emperor; the Knights can only hit their own, their Emperor's, or their opposing Knight's, since Knights have a spell range of 1.

Blighted Agent, a 1/1 unblockable with Infect for 1U; Chained Throatseeker, a 5/5 with infect for 5U but it can't attack unless they're poisoned; Viral Drake is a 1/4 with Flying and Infect for 3U, but it also has 3U: Proliferate.

There's also Corrupted Conscience. Blue is more 'proliferate' and less Infect itself.

What books do I need to read to get caught up with all of the new things going on in Mirrodin? Is Quest for Karn all that is out? Are they making more?

I just spent the last 7 months reading every book from The Brothers War to Future Sight to re-infuse my mind with the lore, finally read the Invasion books, and prepare myself for the new book which I got today.
Bad News: The Time Spiral books are so dense with ancient lore you're screwed on the front of reading them in order to learn about Venser. They are also very poorly written. If you have no background at all in Magic Lore then you might as well just read Quest for Karn and wiki the things you need to fill in blanks.

I have read nine books from Oddessy to Fifth Dawn, and I an decently versed in what came before that. So you don't suggest reading the Time Spiral books, or do you think I should truck through them and research what I need to understand them? I just want to get caught up with whats going on. Quest for Karn is the newest, correct?

So what exactly is the story of the Myr at this point?

All I know is that they served Memnarch, but as he'd kinda dead have they been doing anything notable in the story since the start of the block?

If you've got some background then truck through them. Most important previous things are the Otaria events which you read in Odyssey through Scourge (Jeska plays a big role). The Ice Age (those major names come back, Jodah, Leshrac, Freyalase), and the Legends books dealing with Nicol Bolas (worst decision ever to include THAT as a main element because those were side books. Should have stuck to the main plot line with the events from the Brother's War, the Ice Age, and the Invasion and post Apoc Mirari events). If you've read the Mirrodin books, yay, you're familiar with the world then. The most important book is the second Time Spiral novel, Planar Chaos. That one has the events that feed right into Scars of Mirrodin. And yes, Quest for Karn is the newest book.
Side note: if you haven't read Agents of Artifice or Test of Metal, do so; great books. Especially Test of Metal.

The myr were unwitting agents of Memnarch yes. He saw what they saw through the use of the Darksteel Eye. They now make up the pure artifact niche of Mirrodin ecology.
The phyrexians saw in them great potential because of their unique adaptable nature. Depending on the metal used in their creation, the myr exhibit certain properties and affinities. Using this principal the phyrexians built into the myr new abilites toward their grand design, but the myr themselves have also adapted to the recent invasion from within.

Its pretty obvious the only faithful to Yawgmoth are those under urabask.

Norn is making her crazy religion, demon thane is pretending to be the father of machines, gitaxus is butting heads with everyone because he's jealous of their ability to be hardcasted and vorinclex is open in his heresy.

Urabask sealed him self away from this heresy, from these foolish crusades so that this world can become the new phyrexian home, it'll be his furnaces in which the new races of phyrexia are born and they'll be under yawgmoth's banner.
