I've been making a gnome inventor (artificer from eberon) for an upcoming 3.5 game and I've been trying to come up with inventions he could come up with for his guinea pigs-I mean fellow party members to try out. This is what I have so far:
-repeating crossbow like what the chinese had
-potion vials that can be fletched on to arrow shafts in place of conventional arrow heads. Do this with all sorts of things like thunderstones.
-Discover steam power around mid level. Plan to have him make a few explosive mishaps before getting it right around lv 14-15.
Anything else he could make?
