>>14745390More stories? Okay, I have a few.
One of them was, in fact, one of my first experiences with D&D. It was an evil Underdark campaign. We have had more of those than I'd care to admit, but only because the guy who owns all the books loves Drow. Ugh.
Anyway, I start off and join the party in my very first battle. Everything's going okay until SUDDENLY:
A spider. Not just any spider either. A fucking magical Me-seeking spider, apparently, since it dropped down, ignoring ALL of the others, and went for me. And grabbed me. I got no save.
Thankfully any time a DM in our group does something stupid like this we call them on their bullshit, because the rest of the party instantly shot to my defense, claiming that it was bullshit. So he just attacked me once with the spider, seeming really distraught that he wouldn't get to instantly kill me.
The only reason I bring this up is because I need to explain how he always favors certain players: my friend (playing a gloaming sorcerer) wanted to eventually become a Lich. So the DM gave him a list of ingredients, you know, standard thing... AND HE ENDED UP GIVING ALL OF THEM TO HIM FIRST FUCKING SESSION. See the dichotomy here? I get (almost) rape-napped by superspider the un-save-able, and he gets to be a Lich.
