I'm a big fan, and there's a few of us here. But, for the most part, /tg/ hates it. Probably because it doesn't involve rolling a d20.
It's a fucking great system, that'll let you do pretty much anything. The old edition (3rd) didn't do so well with really high point value (like, 1000-3000 pts) characters; but then, if your characters are that powerful, it's going to break ANY game.
It works exceptionally well for "gritty/realistic" modern/futuristic games, and just as well for "dungeon fantasy" (the dungeon fantasy series are top notch indeed). I'm a real big fan of the Powers and Supers books, even though I've got no desire to play those genres; the extra bits on defining powers, gadgetry, and techniques and what not are awesome.
I'd be keen on playing a "street-level" supers game, like inFamous/Prototype type stuff, I think that's be pretty fun.
Just keep in mind that, sooner or later, you'll find something that isn't represented per se; look for something, anything similar, and look at what it does mechanically. Flight, with a limitation that requires there to be tall buildings and trees around, works just fine for Spiderman's web-swinging travel method.
