So I'm getting that the whole ki focus/weapon thing works as follows:
a) If you use a ki focus, it applies to your monk powers and proficient weapon attacks like unarmed strikes.
b) If you use a weapon, it applies to your monk powers and attacks with *that weapon,* but not to other weapon attacks (i.e. unarmed strike).
c) If you have both, you choose on each attack whether you're using the weapon or the ki focus, you can't mix and match attributes from each.
Which means that carrying around a +1 ki weapon and a +X whatever strike ki focus doesn't work. You can either benefit from the +X of the ki focus or use the +2 flurry damage from the weapon, but you can't get both on the same attack.
Am I misreading this? Do the triggering attack and the flurry of blows power count as 'separate attacks'?
