>>14748843He created this woman out of little more than human sentimentality. He loved his sons, his Primarchs dearly, but as the Father of Humanity, was it not his place to have a daughter also? Since his experiments found that Astartes gene seed could not be made compatible with the female chromosomal structure, he resolved, for the first time in his endless life, to do something purely for himself. He created, for all intents and purposes, a daughter. Not a normal human girl to be coddled and spoiled, but one that could stand by his side as a lesser companion in his rulership of Humanity, a child not consumed by war and duty. Samus Aran, more of the Emperor’s flesh than any other, and more human by far.
So what has become of her? The Emperor expressed some regret to me, and I am honoured beyond words that he chose me in this. It saddens me greatly that the Emperor of Mankind, our eternal saviour, was denied this one pleasure by the gods of Chaos, and to an extent, Samus herself.
I am unsure if she knows of her origins, but she may have guessed, and she has severed her warp-presence in order to better hide herself. This makes finding her all the more difficult, as Psykers seem to react as if she is a blank, just one more reminder that she is not quite human. She seems to wander rather aimlessly, but her patterns of movement suggest that she is trying to make her way to Terra. However, due to the organisation I am a part of, this will never happen. Officio Assassinorum Operatives, I imagine, will hunt the Emperor’s Daughter, she who threatens the control of the High Lords and who seems to still have strong links to the Eldar. Her connection to the elder race, I do not know of.
