TL;DR need game that doesn't require a lot of pieces/cards to kill time

Me and my co-worker are looking for some time killing games for our graveyard shifts together.

Preferably some kind of card game (We play MTG some times but we are both not very good and do not have too many cards to mix the decks up with)

I was looking at Wargames that require few models and terrain space like Infinity or Malifaux, but I would like to hear your opinions on what to do.

We played Go once, that took forever and wasn't really that interesting and hard to sneak into work, chess we couldn't manage to sneak in.
