one thing that sucks with this though is if you cast precursor golem you can end up having all your golems gone in one bolt =[

Considered that. I considered keeping cancel cards on me, but I decided against it.

They won't kill the splicers with a Precursor Golem out, and as long as I save some excess Golems in my hand, I can get an army back up if they wipe them all out.

I think you might want to run Sphere of the Suns, or some Cultivates or some kind of ramp. Right now you have exactly zero acceleration, and your cheapest creature spell costs 3, with a bunch more at 4, 5, and 6.

As cute as a kicked Rite can be with Precursor out, I think you should drop it in favor of some Spheres. It's just win-more, if you have that much mana and enough Golems living on the board for it to matter, you've probably already won.

Also, it might be worth investing in a set of Misty Rainforests.

No Rainforests. I don't like using land to get land, and I want to be able to use this after Eldrazi falls out of standard, but everything else is really helpful.

The problem with Anvils is that you get fucked over hard when they bite the dust. If he drops one turn 3, imprinting a Golem, or a Splicer, there's a LOT of ways to stop it [Shatter, Crush, etc] during that turn, and then you've wasted your turn 3 AND lost 2 cards. I don't like the Anvils much, I'd rather be running Birds of Paradise or mana-myr, since they do something other than sit there and scream 'kill me' while they make stuff cheaper.

What do you mean by that, exactly? You don't like running lands that do nothing but get another land? Because, trust me, unless you build a deck to stall, you'll never have it run so long that you'll see every single land in your deck. And even if you do, it's unlikely that you'll need those 4 extra land to win. Rainforest is great in any U/G deck, because it's an Island when you need an Island, and a Forest when you need a Forest.

I know what you mean. I'm relatively new to Magic, and something about land that fetches land turned me off. I'll try it out with the Rainforests; see if I can get over my prejudice.

Seriously, your games are never going to run so long that it'll matter those 4 weren't 2 Islands and 2 Forests, and even if it DID run that long, if 4 lands is the difference between victory and defeat, oh well. Think of every time in a 2 color deck [or worse yet, 3!] you've needed just one more fucking Island, and pulled... a Forest. This thing can be a Island when you need Islands, or a Forest when you need Forests.

And even when they cycle out, they're still heavily played in Extended and Commander, and they see a good chunk of play in Legacy and Extended, so the price won't go down too much.

I'm not saying that it doesn't make sense. Don't know why I originally disliked the idea, maybe it's because it struck me as a strategy for landfall decks and because I have never done a three-color deck.

I'm certainly going to try it out and reserve more judgement until after I actually do so.

Doom Blade, though it has been mostly replaced by Go for the Throat, can still rape the crap out of your golems. I'd recommend a few copies of Vines of Vastwood, but they are Zendikar block, so they won't be around much longer.

A more practical strategy is to run some protection for them. Apostle's Blessing is honestly better than trying to run counters, since a counterspell will only save one golem, while Blessing can save them all. Plus, most decks run 4 Doom Blades [or they will in the side], so they'll just repeat the same song and dance once you drop another Golem.

Still, I think you're aware this isn't exactly Tier 1 Holy Shit Jizzing Everywhere kind of deck, but it is a fun deck.

Also, I think 12 plains, 5 Forest/Island, and 4 Rainforest is too much. That's almost 30 lands, way too many. I'd trim back on the plains a bit, maybe closer to 8.

Well, like>>14746357said, the thing with Rite of Replication and kicking it is that one of the following will happen:
1) lolcountered
2) you already have a good enough board position to win anyways
You might want to consider Clone or Phyrexian Metamorph in place of the Rites as they have less restrictive mana costs.

But, then again, I'm not exactly one to be talking about taking out silly win-more combos.

Metamorph is a great idea. It can be another warm body [or several, depending on which Splicer it copies], more mana-fixing by copying a Sphere of the Suns, or you can 'borrow' some of their good artifacts or creatures.

Not a bad plan. The thing about deckbuilding is you continue to tweak it. If you find that something is cluttering up your hand, trim it by one card. If you notice you always seem to need Card X but not see it often enough, run 1 more. Continue to mess with your lands, and what cards you use. Take out stuff that sits in your hand. Add stuff you think you can use.
