I'm looking for a near-future post-cyberpunk setting (within the next 50 years or so) that's not your stereotypical evil-corporations, always-raining, polluted dystopia. Something futuristic but innovative.

Any homebrew RPG, novel, comic or movie recommendos?

Will take animu, but reluctantly given the track record.

Ghost in the Shell seems to be the sort of borderline post-cyberpunk you're looking for. The first movie and the manga is more punk, but Stand Alone Complex should be right up your alley.

The ship in op's pic looks like a ship from Space Empires series. Can't remember the name of the race right now. They lived in gas giants, they were made of energy, and were totally xenocidal.

Back on topic, have you considered a flavor of Shadowrun?

And it's always night. I'm looking forward to the new design aesthetic in Deus Ex Revolution but it's still pretty traditional cyberpunk.

Cyberpunk is a genre of science fiction. If you read masters of the genre like Brunner (The Shockwave Rider, et al.) you'll understand that evil corporations are not a requirement for cyberpunk at all.

Well I guess if your definition of "evil corporation" is so broad to include any and every rebel in history then I guess Martin Luther's fight against the Catholic Church is cyberpunk too.

There are two possible implications here, leading to two possible recommendations: Atlas Shrugged the RPG or Star Trek.

Cyberpunk takes place in the near future. The future is post-now. So we get the statement "post-post-now," which is redundant, like "DC Comics."
