I just landed a Co-GM spot in a PbP game thats based in Italy in the early to mid 1400's. The GM was inspired by Europa 1400 and is adapting it to a rules lite/freeform kind of game. The PC's will assume the Matriarch or Patriarch of a Family in various regions in Italy during the time frame given. Their goals are to pit themselves against rival families for control of their region/Kingdom and eventually of Italy. Politics, economics, and military might will all come into play.
I liked the originality so I threw my hat in the ring to help him out with some of the back round mechanics, and immediatly my thoughts went to trying to cobble together a fluctuating market for raw materials (lumber, iron, wool, cotton) and i have no idea on where to begin.
Do the collective minds of you creative geniuses have advice for me?
