>>14752481I6, but still S4. If you're doing it right, you're not using a Carnifex, you're using a Trygon or Hive Tyrant (or maybe a Tyrannofex/Tervigon, but that's a little riskier). That means they have to wound you (meaning a six) and then pass their Ld test (meaning 9 or lower on 3d6). It can happen, but with only one attack each, the odds are against it, which is exactly why you don't charge squads of seven or ten guys- that's more models to chew through and more swings coming at you, so more chances for it to happen.
(Also, not everyone is gonna have Halberds; they're not cheap. Daemonhammers is what you're really worried about.)
>>14751707Your list has several big problems.
You have a LOT of Synapse for 1500pts, and you don't need much of it. (Spawned Gaunts are your only critters that do.) Your anti-tank is limited to Zoanthropes, who are short-ranged and vulnerable to psychic defense. Your Tervigons aren't scoring and don't have any upgrades to pass to their babies, so the latter aren't scary in a fight.
Also, the all-Genestealer rush isn't that good and Talons are a mediocre use of points. Toxin Sacs are better, as they let you reroll wounds (and thus get more Rends) against anything T4 or lower.
You also have the problem of having two distinct components to your army (support units in the rear, 'Stealers up front.) The enemy can ignore the support and kill 'Stealers in the early turns and then finish the job later. You want everything working together, if possible.
Figure out whether you want to go aggressive (i.e. Genestealers) or defensive (i.e. Tervigons) and the list can be built from there.
