All spellcasters need at least 11 on their relevant ability score in order to be able to cast spells at all, but fighters and others of their like can still beat up things just fine!

What is this bullshit about 3.5 being a Caster Edition? More like Caster Un-Edition!

They can! A 5th level Dwarven fighter can carve out enough land in under a day to move that river wherever he wants it to go!

Is an 11 considered "high" in threeaboo edition too? If so, not sure what the problem is.

Yeah, in 2e wizards and priests can cast spells even with the score of 9. If they had the ability scores of 8, fighters couldn't fight and wizards couldn't cast spells, but in 3.5e, wizards still can't cast spells but fighters CAN fight!

2e is the caster edition!

Here is a better question: Why would you play an int 9 wizard? And don't say character depth, because being a burden to your party isn't depth.

isn't that false? I thought they needed 11+the level of the spell to learn the spell? so 12 to know a level 1 spell 13 to know a level two... 20 to know a level 9 spell and etc.

ahhh so you could be a crappy wizard with 11 int just like a fighter could be crappy with only 11 str.

Also makes sense since if I remember, stats alternate between 11 and 10 on base creatures, so a normal mundane character has only level 1 spells unless they are a special npc.
