4. Your acolytes have been sent to some backwater outpost/town on an equally backwater planet searching for some rogue pskyers. Obnoxious hick of a mayor keeps hassling and impeding your investigation all the time. Make the mayor look guilty and have your acolytes kill him. Turns out he was just getting rich off smuggling and embezzelment. Also turns out he was a blank and that his blankness was wreaking havoc on a genestealer cult's control of it's hybrids and brood brothers causing them to remain underground. Suddenly genestealer cultists everywhere.
5. Mobsters in the pocket of your inquisitor are being muscled out by a new gang. Your inquisitor sends you to either help the gang retain its position in the underworld or to recruit its replacement from their enemies. The gangsters claim the new gang is a front for death cultists and your acolytes have seen some evidence of that. Are your mob allies telling the truth or are they trying to eliminate their enemies while pulling a fast one on the acolytes?
6. A sniper is killing priests across a system. So far this sniper has eluded all attempts to find him, pulling off impossible shots from hard to reach spots. Even when sniping in populated areas all the only information gained are blurry photographs. Most believe him to be a heretic or possibly an agent of Chaos, but are his victims the upstanding pillars of Imperial morality they seem? Could the acolytes be chasing an agent of righteous vengence or worse, an offically sanctioned assassin? Either way the acolytes must tread carefully unless the they want to draw the attention of a sniper eager to kill his pursuers.
