So in my 3.5, a lot of the Draconic creatures are a direct result of the ancient Dragon civilization that ran the world. Using their stupidly powerful magic, the Dragons created various servitor races like Kobolds, Dragonkin, Dracotaurs, etc, etc. Probably a few non-Draconic things, too, although I haven't decided for certain.

I'd like to let one of the players, a Wizard who's already a fairly accomplished Transmuter, get some tomes and learn some fraction of the sort of species/life/genetic magic these ancient Dragons used.

Problem is twofold: 1. I suck at names and have no idea what to call this, since Life Mage sounds kinda silly. 2. Any ideas how I should handle this magic, in-game?

Fleshcrafting/Fleshwarping suggestions aren't quite apt, since I associate that with Aberrations in my campaign. This isn't surgery or fleshcraft at all. No scalpels, all magic.
