Also, I definitely have to agree with setting some hard limits on things like weapon level (freaking one point a piece for items) and massive damage, but as long as every level in everything you take can be justified it should work out well enough.
Also, yeah rarely see anything BESM related on /tg/. I suspect a lot of folks haven't given it a fair chance looking at the cover and refusing because 'god damned weeaboo bullshit.'
Of course, that was my initial reaction as well, but I've quickly grown to love it. It's all the openness of GURPS, but a lot easier to manage and combat's actually sort of fun.
