Me and my friends are really into World of Tanks at the moment and we want to translate that experience to a role-playing game. However, none of us have any experience with systems that centre around vehicular combat. So I come to you for advice on the matter, since I can remember some threads that involved these systems. With that said; what are good systems for tank-based role-playing games set in WW II?

tl;dr: help me find a WW II tank-based RPG.

Yay, WoT!

Car Wars can probably do that. GURPS can definitely do it, but you'd have to perform some PnP surgery to make it fun.

Some good suggestions, but I was wondering if there is a tank RPG that focusses around realistic combat as, more or less, found in WoT.

Actually, I guess I'm really looking for a tabletop instead of an RPG. Sorry for the mix-up.

The updated tech tree they released today on WoT initially got me excited, until I realised it was basically the same as the one they put out in 2009 but with the lines in between going in different directions.

The noobs on the forum are calling bullshit as they haven't worked out just how glacial a pace these thing will get implemented.

Never played it. It's just the only tabletop war-game for WWII of any prestige. Unless you want to build a lot of scale tanks in LEGO and run Brikwars.

Flames of War is a pretty good game.

Although it's more Hollywood-style WWII than an accurate historical simulation.

The rules are similar to 40K, but with some significant differences.
