Also instead of battles where one side will win more efficiently all the time it has each side rolling a number of d6 and whoever gets the higher score wins, but if they both tie then the person with higher FIGHT wins.
Also you are constantly using your surroundings to your advantage because fortifications and even small walls make a difference in battle. Also instead of automatically crossing stuff you need to see if each person even has the gumption to be able to ford rivers, etc.
And then there are other various rules, such as priority and taking turns, one person takes his movement, the next person does, etc.
It's a lot more tactical than anything else GW has put out. Though a lot of people complain that the 20 goblin/Balrog list is the most bullshit thing.
