>Know, O prince, that between the years when the Veil Nebula drank the jump gates and the gleaming planets, and in the years of the rise of the Sons of Askiras, there was an Age undreamed of, when shining worlds lay spread across the stars like blue mantles beneath the silence. Hither came Layla, the Naylorian, black-haired, wide-hipped, electric sword in hand, a thief, a mercenary, with gigantic melancholies and gigantic mirth, to tread the jeweled thrones of the worlds under her booted feet.

Stars Without Number is an old-school-style RPG about the reemergence of interstellar travel following a centuries-long dark ages after the collapse of the human golden age. It has very easy rules:

There are three classes, Warrior, Psychic and Expert. Stats are 3d6 for Strength, Dex, Con, Int, Wis and Charisma. Skill checks are rolled with 2d6+ skill ranks, making the system more or less compatible with Mongoose Traveller, if you've played that game.
