What is /tg/'s opinion on getting high and roleplaying? Personally I love it, I'm doing it right now and I love it. Although I'm worried it might upset some of the other players who don't smoke. What is everyone else's opinion?

I am one of those people who becomes more relaxed, more social, and has a more vivid imagination when I am high, so for me, it's a good thing.

If you become distracted, paranoid, or aggressive while high, or find that it tends to bring out other character traits in you that would be detrimental to the atmosphere of the game you're playing in, then you shouldn't.

I have played plenty of games with responsible substance-abusing players, and they've all been really good games.

I can't even function without narcotics. This isn't a result of withdrawals; I couldn't function before either. I don't inform my groups, but I don't lie if someone asks, either. So long as I'm not starting an IV at the table, most of them don't have a major problem with it. The doses are small enough not to devastate my creativity and presence, but high enough to help me relax.

I was in a group with two guys who smoked weed while gaming. One guy was perfectly normal, maybe a bit more talkative, but not too out of the ordinary. The other guy was totally useless while high. he forgot when it was his turn, took forever to pick the dice he wanted to roll, and so forth.

tl;dr don't game while high if you're like the second guy.

Not inside my house!

Don't bring the weed inside, don't smoke it inside, don't keep it in my yard.
But if you're not an ass while high you may attend if you smoked something before you came here. Or if we're at your place and you smoke in another room so I won't have to breathe your smoke.

My friends however are rather vain about keeping the hobby clean.
