Evening /tg/.
Quick question.
In D&D (3.5), most size increasing spells or magical items do not stack. (Such as casting enlarge person twice).
So does anyone know ways to make a character grow to colossal size? Through magic, items or abilities?
Kinda want to make a Gnome wizard with an enlarging gimmick for my friend`s next campaign.

Shujenja (sp?) from Complete Arcane. Has elemental type spells, very eastern magic sort of feel. I'm fairly certain it has a 'colossal size' spell.

Talk to your DM and see if he will allow a bit of stacking for this one thing.
That's the only way, honestly.
Being big has its drawbacks in DND, so point that out to him.

handwave it so that size-increasing abilities stack to a certain extent for non-combat purposes, or they stack, but with no cumulative stat bonuses beyond the first casting.

Only way I can think of off the top of my head is an epic druid wild shaping with Colossal size as an upgrade.

I don't think there is any way in the official books to make a medium sized creature that huge without getting into epic levels.

Doesn't the wish spell description encourage DMs to be a jerk about it though? We're playing with fire here.

There are two types of wishes granted by DMs.

1) Reasonable wishes. This definition varies wildly.
2) Monkey's Paw. This is where the DM uses the wish to fuck you, anally, and until you cry.

Now, past that, there are some general conventions regarding Wish.

*Specific, non-metagame wishes should always be granted. Any spell effect of less than 9th level should be easily reproduced, and magic items of under [INSERT VALUE THRESHOLD HERE] should be attainable without repercussions. A +1 to a base attribute under 18 = one wish.
*Wish-lawyering and metagame wishes are the path to fuckery. Everything should be couched in in-game terms. The magnitude of the fucking should be commensurate with the blatancy of the wish. Wishing for a level or +1 BAB should always get the Monkey's Paw. Wishing to advance in your chosen vocation, or to strike as proficiently as [INSERT FIGHTER HERE] are acceptable, and open up further quirks. (What if Gorthak sucks with a spear?)
*Fuckery should never come in the form of rocks-fall-you-die. Always give them an opportunity to fully grasp the depth of how they've boned themselves, and a chance to fix it.
*Do not pervert every wish. Only those which are obvious shortcuts to munchkinland or which forcibly derail your campaign should be dealt with most harshly. Sometimes "becoming the most famous swordsman in all the land" and wearing a powerful item openly are their own curses.

you'd need to be a Wu Jen for that, and get the spell Giant Size (Wu Jen-only spell.).
At level 18 or more , you would be able to grow to colossal size.
