>>14785805"There is no stink of Chaos or the Warp on him, lord." The Psyker said, bowed low infront of the Commisar. "He is ... Human. Completely so." The Commisar groaned and dismissed the man with a flick of his fingers.
He stomped outside, suddenly feeling very out of place on the battle churned earth. The strange man, all cheer and good humor wasn't even protesting his armed guard - the Guardsmen were even talking calmly with him, despited thier trained weapons. It was maddening, the Commisar though, that this man could be untouched by the Ruinous Powers, and yet still get trained men to talk as if they were old friends. He lit a Lho stick, clasping his hands behind his back as he entered the ring of his men.
"So I told him, y'know, that's my girl and damned if he was gonna take her away, right?" The Guardsman grumbled (Joseph, the Commisar thought, a good man with great aim), shrugging. The man nodded in sympathy, looking for all the world like it was just a friendly chat.
"Sorry to hear that." His voice was odd, too. Too ... foreign. The red-caped man was just out of place, and it rubbed the Commisar the wrong way.
