Drat, forgot to mention: Race-Human

Feats: Skill Focus (Appraise), Skill Focus (Sense Motive), Skill Focus (Forgery)

Class Skills: All those listed in the first post, plus Diplomacy and Listen.

Idea is, we open a combination curio/pawn shop. With craft skills, we can hopefully make our own wares to stock out shelves in times of need. Good appraise and sense motive should help keep ourselves from getting ripped off and finding the true value of any items people try to sell us.

Your city is the center of a rather small semiplane where weather is nice and stmosphere is quiet. The founder of the cities have chosen to make the city a refuge to all persons seeking to flee oppression. The paladins of the Dawn, worshippers of the Children of Dawn (paladins of liberty, CG) make sure no conflicts arise in the city. But the strangely soothing atmosphere of the place seems to iron out problems, and very few arise.

You are governed by an elected government divided in four parts : the military (defense, police), the clergy (help to the needy, paladins), the university (architecture, and technical problems solving) and the administration (taxes and public services)

The four form a circular assembly (army is the south, clergy the east, university the west and taxes the north) each electing a secretary.

The most represented cult is the Cult of Dawn, obviously, which is represented by the Oracle of Dawn, a woman of great moral influence, who as such refused to take part in the government.

The sun of the semi plane is tapping its energy in a plane linked to air, which provides a light that isn't harmfull to undeads, meaning a few vampires exist among the livings. There is also a known lich judge.

You find some harpies, orks and gnolls stroll the streets, other creatures you see usually hiding in dungeons and caves walking in the day of light, all knowing however the first crime commited means an eviction to the plane of origin

The Military has been known to have an agenda to fight tyranny on outer planes, manely to avenge the families of the first settlers, member of a resistance against a nefarious dictator. The people finally gave up and found shelter in this wmall pocket of reality.

However, the Cult of Dawn opposes this motion, and army deeply resents the civilians for following their lead, arguing they make this plane safe against a potential extraplanar military offensive.

The Administration isn't eager to step in the confrontation. From their point of view, army is a spender, while clergy is rather self-sufficient, and helps with public service.

University, however, maintains strong bonds with the military, trying to get fundings for researchs.

Public devates on these issues became tradition over time.

Young-ish, about 25-28 years old. Swarthy complexion. People remark that we have "an honest face". In good shape, although nowhere near the walking battering rams that adventurers are. Short hair, kept well-shaven except for a moustache in whatever style is fashionable at the moment. No jewelry except a simple ring on our right hand. Clothing is decidedly middle-class, for now.

Well first of all, we should try to purchase the tools and equipment we need to do glass blowing and metal working, since that's what we have skills in. We should get some supplies so that we can make our own things first. I'm thinking, we make some nice, ornate silverware and/or ironworked pendants/broaches etc to start, along with some pretty glass baubles. Once people start selling their own stuff, we can put it on display and sell it as our own.

Thus, let alone the 2 GP of materials you need to buy the materials, you estimate your own work worth 20 GP for each day passed working on the present.
