MYTHIC CAMPAIGN SETTING
So I am working on a campaign setting that is not focused on a western Europe tone, rather the focus is more on cultures like Greece, Egypt, Arabia, China, and Mesopotamia (in something of a bronze age age of adventure). I have a lot of inspiration and there are a ton of d20 books I'm looking at, but the real question is this: What should I do for playable races? Do I shoehorn the standard DnD races in there? Or should I come up with my own. I'm sort of leaning towards having humans and each of the listed factions having a sort of mythic race. So the Greek Inspired faction would have Minotaurs, the Egypt inspired faction would have the jackal headed warriors, etc. I'm just having trouble coming up with some interesting ones. Help me.
