Epic Dorf Fortress Story Thread: POST YOUR FUCKING FORT STORIES!

Pic related, who here remembers the dread fort of Buzzardloved from yesterday? Well, it got some more immigrants today. You know it's going to be good when it says: Some migrants have decided to brave this terrifying place, knowing it may be their tomb.

So far, four of them have already died and everyone has been drafted into the military has they make a mad rush towards the fort. In the pic, you can see them desperately fighting against the skeletal inhabitants of the chasm located near the fort's entrance as they try and fight their way across 'Blood and Bones' bridge to reach the fort.

Eight out of fourteen migrants finally made it to the fort. Since then, one has died from falling into the chasm went he went out for some reason, and another was torn apart by rabid skeletal cave swallowmen.

Let me give you some back story here. I have tried to reclaim this fort four times now, each on ending with the reclaimation force going insane from the miasma left by the previous reclamation force, the hundreds of undead that had taken over the fort with no one to guard it, and the generally horrible living conditions since the fort had never really been had anymore then ten people living in at one time, mostly due to all the fucking sketeal abominations everywhere. I'm not fucking kidding here. The entire mountain seems to protected by a hurricane of skeletal Batmen and Cave Swallowmen. There have even been the occasional skeletal Giant Eagles.

So, I decided to try and flood it with the fifth reclamation force, who have long since either killed themselves or each other. A suicidal migrate wave came in near the end though, of which only one actually made it to the fort without managing to be ripped apart by Batmen or Cave Swallowmen. This dorf, who actually turned out to be a women, was named Obok Matingiz, then became the sole proprietor and eventually voted herself mayor. She has been shifting there the several feet high pile of bones that constantly covers the floors, and generally tries to make the damn place livable.

Until now anyway, since she went out for god knows why and is currently being gang banged by a skeletal Cave Swallowmen and a skeletal Troglodyte. God damn it.

Also, the flooding only managed to make the only dug out soil layer unusable. So, yeah. Kind of screwed myself on that one.

Also, at this point, the entire fucking mountain is drenched in the blood of dwarfs. You can't go anywhere without slipping on some bones or stepping into someone's ripped off face.

Why? Why would you do that? You know the undead are out there, just waiting until they can get a bite of your delicious dwarf flesh. Even Obok, who survived when others could not, has been cast down under a swarm of Cave Swallowmen. So why? Why you do this, you stupid little fucks?

Does anyone know if there is a way to copy and paste building designations? Im tired of making the little huts for my kobolds piece by tiny piece. AND THERE IS LIKE 50 OF THEM

God fucking damn it. There's this little asshole of a peasant called Rovod who I'm trying to get to smooth all the walls in the bedrooms. Except he's a fucking pussy, and can't seem to handle the fact they're trapped in a shit hole of a fort where everything seems to be made of out a mysterious supply of rose gold, with an uncountable horde of undead just waiting to kill them if they dare to ever leave.

So every few minutes or saw he goes fucking ballistic, running through the halls, throwing the random bone, until he finally calms the fuck down and get's back to be a little pussy who can't be trusted to do anything else other then smooth walls.

I've decided to give him Obok's mastercrafted rose gold artifact bed, which strangely enough, is located in the fucking dinning room. Have I mentioned how the layout for this shit hole is completely fucking insane? Still, the dinning room walls are at least partly engraved with surprisingly happy engravings, so maybe the combined effects will be enough to at least bring his little emo ass up from Miserable to just Unhappy.

It suddenly strikes me that I've somehow managed to create some kind of Mythos Fortress, what with people going insane and all.

If one of them get's Possessed and starts chanting the words 'Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn' I am going to fucking lose it.

On it is a Engraving of a giant Tentacle Demon. On it is a Engraving of some dwarfs. On it is some runes in an unknown language. The Dwarfs are worshiping the tentacle demon.

WE'RE LIVING OFF INCEST NOW MOTHERFUCKERS. Also, the flooded lower levels will provide ample fish and water. And fuck caravans. I doubt any of them would be able to survive the undead anyway.

You must know where the migrants spawn - make a second entrance there. If the chasm goes between you and that, and you cant tunnel around it (and don't wanna make a completely sealed bridge through it) then just make a second base on that side until such a time as you CAN make a sealed bridge though the chasm.

The bridge with a roof and arrow slits option is the god tier option.
