I was thinking of getting into (and dragging my group with me) Battle Tech. The complexity interests me after plumbing the depths of Warhammer (Fantasy/40k) and Warmachine.

Any advice on which version to look into? I was really interested in the crunch (otherwise I would just go play megamek and wonder why shit did what it did)
