Somehow my world seems to think that temperatures high enough to immediately make every dwarf and item burst into flames is a good idea.

I just embarked on a beach and the ocean evaporated into a cloud of steam.

You can set how often various temperature ranges appear in world gen (weighted temp range or something like this)

Well since those temperatures don't show up in the normal range, the only way it could have happened is if you altered the worldgen parameters specifically to enable extreme temperatures, then embarked on the hottest region you could find, knowing this would happen, so that you could come here and post about it in a tone other than "HEY GUYS LOOK AT THIS COOL THING I DID"
