You dislike that? What the hell is your problem?
But no, if you must no, the naive young hero is not the only thing I play, it's just the thing I like most. My characters are more often than not representative of Tarot 0 - The Fool.
Young, naive heroes who set out on an adventure, a journey that tests their courage, wits, and friendships. Through it all they will either bend like steel or break, the pressure having been too much.
Since I've not been at this 'roleplaying' thing long, that's what I go for. There's no better hero than someone who goes from Farmboy to War Hero.
If you really need to know, though, my latest character is a competent assassin in an Exalted game, and I made an equally competent private detective in a Mage game.
I like the much less competent character more, though. They're more fun to play than an accomplished person.
And yes, I'm saying that my characters are more or less based on Link. I find farmboy turned hero to be more interesting than hero turned hero.
And one of my characters actually did live on a farm before becoming a Dog.
