/toy/ tends to view "designer toys" as hipster territory, so you're gonna be hard-pressed to find much discussion about them here.

Personally, I'm rather fond of Labbits, but Kidrobot seems to be run by a bunch of stuck-up pricks (look at how butthurt they got with that Taco Bell cafuffle).

Don't enjoy some designs based on the actual design alone? I get wanting representations of characters from stuff you enjoy, but sometimes a toy is cool enough to stand on its own.

I must admit that i too have an eye for urban vinyl. Near my house there was a store called Mobius which closed down due to no business at all, but they had cactus dogs, that big red razor claw beast thing, and a cool giant turtle thing. THe only reasons I didnt buy them is because they cost so much and they arent so poseable.
